Life as a Journalism student has a lot of assignments. We are the busiest people who need to follow the deadline and finish works on time in the short period. Everyday I will expose with the stress and tense. These two names, stress and tense are my big enemies who can ruin my colorful life. To avoid the stress from beats me, I decided to read a motivation book to relax and release my tension. Suddenly I found this magic book which is ‘The Power of Positive Thinking.’
‘The Power of Positive Thinking’ by Norman Vincent Peale is one of the best books that I look forward to with more pure, full of values and raw of spiritual. The writer successful brings the readers to discover this motivation book from one page to another page. People will feel very reluctant to skip each page in this book. That is because every page in this book will bring us to travel to the great journeys that can be remains in our mind. Personally, I love this book because it was taught me how to improve my self assessment from day to day. It also provides the best solution to solve any hard and light problems to the readers. That is a bonus of this book rather than other motivation books.
The father of positive thinking, Norman Vincent Peale shares his famous formula faith and optimism to millions of people through this book. His goal to make sure each person who read his book will able to eliminate defeatist attitudes in their life. His gentle guidance helps people to know the power we posses and to make the best of our life. This book is a simple, practical, heartfelt guide to enable people to enjoy confidence, success and joy.
From my reading, I think this book is written to suggest techniques and to give examples which demonstrate that you do need to be defeated by anything. There are many people are defeated by the everyday problems. We are go struggling to achieve our expectation, then we will whine through our days with sense of dull resentment at what we consider the ‘bad breaks’ life has given them. With reading this book all of our stressful can be released because this book can guide people how to run from the stress.
This book has a complete methods and techniques to help the readers achieve a happy, satisfying and worthwhile life. The writer thoroughly and enthusiastically believes in certain demonstrated and effective principles which when practiced can produce a victorious life. His aim is to set forth in this volume in a logical, simple and understandable manner so that the readers will get feeling a sense of need. We as the readers may learn a practical method by which can build for ourselves.
If we read this book thoughtfully, we can absorb its teachings and we will feel sincerely practice the principles and formulas to improve our own life to be the better person from yesterday. We will never think the bad sides about other people because positive thinking had been developed in our mindset. We also will feel relieve and satisfied if we able to help other people. There are certain formulas and procedures which can make us as a person can enjoy satisfactory personal relationships even we are a difficult person or by nature shy and unsocial. Although this motivation book give a lot of benefits to the readers but it is still lack of guarantee to convincing the readers to practice the procedures of positive thinking for the whole of their life. As we know, people are easy to forget anything easily. I think most of the readers who read this book, only practicing the formula of positive thinking just for the short period time. They will only capable to work hard in practicing the positive thinking for only one until two weeks. That is a normal thing as a human nature. To make people keep on practicing the positive thinking formula in this book, I think the author should produce e-book which offers the audio and colorful map of the formula and procedures.
Another thing that should be reconsidered is the visual aid that can be shown in this book. As an ordinary people, we are been created to attract with the picture. Picture can grab our attention and mind to keep it remains in our mind. Have you ever heard the words ‘picture can tell 1001 stories’? That is the power of the image to disseminate the message quickly and efficiently. It is might be if the author deliver his message about the positive thinking through diagram, features or image, the readers will easy to remember it for the whole of their life.
However this book stills the one of the motivation book that can help me to improve my life to be the best person. It also guides me to strengthen my relationship with my beloved family, relatives, friends and my colleagues. I have a gut to face this life with confidence without any feeling of fear to achieve my goals. Beside that, this book brought me to another new phase to become a successful person. All of these things happen because of the gentle guide of the writer to attract us to make the positive thinking as the routine of our life. To people who are lack of self confidence and always feel down, the answer of their problem is the book of ‘The Power of Positive Thinking’ by Norman Vincent Peale. They will never feel regret with reading this book because after they are finish every topic in this book, they will experience a new changes, personality and behavioral.
